CITRUS ALMOND AND POLENTA CAKE
One of our favorite food writers is Englishman Nigel Slater, columnist in British newspaper The Observer and author of many great books including "The Kitchen Diaries" and the excellent, autobiographical "Toast".
His elegant, evocative prose is as enjoyable as the results of his recipes.
When we saw this recent recipe for an Italian inspired almond and polenta cake infused with a citrus syrup, we knew we just had to make one.
We weren't disappointed.
